Education Week inspires young minds

The educational properties of flubber were explored last
week when grade three children from Mornington Park Primary School and
Dandenong West Primary School visited the Peninsula campus.
The children were challenged to 'stretch their minds' using a
range of materials in both arts and science settings as part of Education Week.
Following the hands on activities, the students got together for a
short forum to discuss their experiences.
Fire fighting training course
A Fire Fighting Training course will be conducted at Peninsula Campus on
Tuesday 24th July from 10 am - 12 noon in Room D2.09A.
The course involves two segments. The first looks at fire prevention and responses to a
fire emergency as well as a fire safety video. The second segment is a practical segment
and involves the use of extinguishers to fight a small fire. This takes part on the campus
playing fields.
As there are costs in refilling the fire extinguishers, for fuel, a fire tray and
handout notes, a fee of $30 per person will be charged for this course.
If you would like to participate, please contact Jill McLachlan ASAP so she can
determine if there are sufficient numbers for the course to proceed.
