Do you have a level one or two first aid certificate? If so, campus first aid coordinator Liz Dumps would like to know.

Liz is trying to draw up a master list of all first aid trained people on the campus. The are two levels of first aid - level one, which is basic life support, and level two, which covers emergency first aid. The campus needs both levels in all departments and all buildings.

If you are level one or two trained, would you please advise Liz.Dumps@BusEco.monash.edu.au via email.

If you would like to be first aid trained, at either level one or two, Liz would also like to hear from you.

The level one training costs $60 and takes one day. This teaches the basics of CPR and other life saving techniques. The certificate is valid for three years with a compulsory CPR update every six months, which takes a couple of hours). The next course at Peninsula campus is scheduled for Tuesday 28 August.

The level two training costs $130 and runs over two days. This includes the basic first aid covered in the level one course, as well as dealing with cuts, burns, fractures and sprains. The certificate is valid for three years with a CPR update every six months. The next course is scheduled for Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 July at Peninsula.

For those who already have a current first aid certificate, the next CPR update will be held on Friday 8 June at 10 am in C1.02.

For all first aid queries contact Liz Dumps on 44144.
