CPR update training sessions at
Peninsula
All current holders of Level 1 and 2 First Aid Certificates are required to attend a CPR Refresher to
ensure the currency of their First Aid Certificate.
All of the courses currently planned are to be conducted at Clayton or Parkville
campuses. However, if there is sufficient interest there will be a CPR Refresher Training
Session organised in mid to late October at Peninsula campus.
The training course is for one hour and the cost is $20 provided that
at least 10 people attend.
Please advise Michael Mirra ASAP on
extn 44212 if you wish to attend a training session at Peninsula campus rather than
at Clayton Campus. The date and time will be advised subject to the feedback/interest
received.
Mind Body Spirit classes return
Finding the workload is getting hectic, life is too busy and that
there is no time for you to manage your stress and balance your life?
There is a positive window of opportunity for a relaxed hour in your week, where
you can participate at your own level and take some time out for you.
Rosemary Bennett's Mind Body Spirit (MBS) class is returning for an eight
week block in Semester 2. This is a chance to stretch, relax and
experience guided meditation while undertaking a variety of exercises (yoga, pilates,
tai chi).
MBS is aimed at managing stress and rejuvenating the whole body.
Techniques using the large fit balls, small chi balls and torson bolsters will be demonstrated throughout the classes.
The exercises are aimed at postural relief, arthritis management, back care and general well
being will be featured, along with an introductory relaxation meditation
that, when combined, will leave you feeling wonderful.
WHEN: Tuesdays at 5 pm, beginning 3 September 2002
WHERE: MONSU gym - usually class held upstairs in the café lounge
