Narration: Studying at Monash University is a passport to the world of education. Monash has campuses in Malaysia , South Africa , a centre in Prato , Italy and six in Australia .

Let's start with the Clayton Campus, 20 kilometres from Melbourne .

A campus so big it has its own postal area code.

Founded in 1958 it opened its doors to students in 1961and at present around 26,000 students are enrolled here. While Clayton is the hub of the university's research focus, the campus has life and energy outside of its educational programs. Student clubs and associations offer everything from ancient martial arts to great music. But a healthy mind needs a healthy body. Monash has sporting facilities that are so good the Australian football team, the Socceroos trained here in preparation for their Asian Cup qualifying match.

Narration: 3 kilometres from the centre of Melbourne in the suburb of Parkville is the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

The facilities here are modern, innovative and interactive.

And when it's time to have a break, the campus is just around the corner from the vibrant multi-cultural cafes and restaurants in Lygon street and Sydney road. And if lattes and croissants aren't your thing the award winning Melbourne Zoo is a short walk away.

Narration: Nine kilometres to the south east side of Melbourne is the Caulfield Campus. Home to the Faculties of Business and Economics, Art and Design and Information Technology it is also surrounded by some of Melbourne 's most grand and beautiful houses.

Caulfield is a breeze to get to and from. The railway station is a main suburban junction and is directly opposite the campus while buses and trams also stop right at the doorstep. Throw in most types of Asian cuisine plus a host of great facilities and you can see why 13,000 students are enrolled here.

Narration: Each of the Monash Campuses has a distinct character and that is very true of the Peninsula Campus in the bay side suburb of Frankston.

Boasting a friendly and warm environment, towering gum trees and beautiful ferns give the setting a distinctly Australian flavour. The university is a centre for nursing and the health sciences and also features terrific on campus accommodation. And when it's time for some recreation, the popular beaches of Port Phillip Bay and the Mornington Peninsula are just down the road. Peninsula is small enough that you can get to know just about everybody but big enough to be a world class university.

Narration: The fast growing outer eastern suburb of Berwick is where you will find another Monash campus. With about 2000 students it is a friendly and welcoming campus not unlike the suburb itself. The main street, a short walk away, has many lovely cafes and shops. It has the feel of a small country town but it is only 40 kilometres from the heart of Melbourne and is easily accessible by road or rail.

Narration: Last of the Australian campuses but certainly not least is the Monash campus in the regional area east of Melbourne known as Gippsland.

Situated on 63 hectares of landscaped grounds it has space and tranquillity, ideal qualities in which to study. Eight of the ten Monash faculties are represented here so the campus is right up there as an educational centre but there are also many opportunities to enjoy the outdoor lifestyle as well.

The Gippsland region is one of the most diverse in Australia with easy access to snow fields, mountains and national parks and on top of that the campus itself has a golf course, swimming pool and gym facilities.
