What can I do here?

  • Normal office work with a desktop system and a web browser.
  • Print to the local laser printer from Microsoft Office applications.
  • Novell Login for access to your Shared V: and Personal U: drives.
  • Network cable for direct connection of Roaming Laptops.
  • Wireless Networking for WiFi Laptops.
  • Guest Book for comments and suggestions.

    How do I use the local desktop systems?

  • To read and send email, use the Webmail service.
  • Use the default print selection in all applications to print on the local laser printer.
  • Use the desktop Login icon to access your Shared V: and Personal U: drives.
  • Use the desktop Logout icon to disconnect from your V: and U: drives and prepare the system for the next user.
  • To Report problems and difficulties, Click Here for Service Desk Webform, or telephone ITS Service Desk on 66777.

    When you leave, select LOGOUT to prepare the workstation for the next user.

    WARNING: Any data or file copied to the desktop or C: drive will be erased at logout time.

    How do I use my laptop?

  • Connect to a blue network lead to allow your Roaming laptop to access the network.
    or
  • Activate your WiFi adaptor to access Monash wireless network (you will not be able to print).
