Toastmasters on campus

Staff and students are invited to a meeting on Wednesday 28 August to establish a Toastmaster's Clubs on the Caulfield Campus.

At the beginning of the year MONSU Caulfield President Tim Wilson, called for expressions of interest from students who were interested in starting a public speaking group on campus.

The response from the students was overwhelming and a meeting was held to establish the type of public speaking group that the students might want. The result of the initial discussions concluded with the students wanting a Toastmaster's style group to be established.

The idea was them promoted to staff and Manuel Proeger from the Library expressed an interest in wanting to start a Toastmaster's club on campus.

Since then Tim and Manuel have worked with Toastmaster's to establish a club on campus.

A meeting will be held on Wednesday 28th August  hold a meeting to register and establish a club. This meeting is being held in the Clayfield Room (A
Block) at 6:00PM on 2002.

If any staff members are interested in being involved in this club to learn

e-Soup

Do you have a favourite soup recipe that is easy to prepare, economical and enjoyable?

Community Services is collecting soup recipes from all staff members of the university community on the Caulfield campus. Our plan is to collate the recipes for distribution to students during student survival week.

Many students are on limited budgets. Many are living away from home for the first time and don't know how to cook or long for the taste of home. Sharing your recipe could help students to prepare a nutritious soup and we all know that eating well enhances the ability to learn!

Please send your easy, economical, enjoyable soup recipes to Rochelle Umansky as soon as possible.
