New Identity Launch 

Monash University Council has recently endorsed the adoption of the new master brand and associated design package.

As a first step to implementing the new brand, Marketing and Public Affairs together with the Web Redevelopment team invite you to the launch of the new Monash University Identity as follows:

Date: Friday 25 July

Time: 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.

Venue: Central 1 Lecture Theatre, Ground Floor, Building 63, Clayton campus.

Christmas in July 

Over 100 staff and students celebrated Christmas in July at the Gryph Inn on Wednesday 16 July.  A sumptuous lunch of Christmas fare was enjoyed by all and some lucky staff members won some terrific prizes.  A sum in excess $100.00 was raised which will be donated to The Cancer Council of Victoria.

 Invitation to Strong Bones Breakfast 

An invitation is extended to the Strong Bones, Beautiful Body Women's Health & Education breakfast on Wednesday 6 August at 7.30 a.m. in The Gryph Inn.  Elaine Canty, lawyer, broadcaster, journalist and businesswoman will be the guest speaker, together with Liz Bongetti a health educator of Osteoporosis Victoria and Melissa Latu-Lutui, fitness coordinator of the Fitness Centre.  Come along and enjoy a healthy breakfast, grab a showbag and join in the exercise demonstration.  The cost - a mere gold coin donation.  For further information and/or to reserve your place please contact: Astrid McCormick on 0425 749 076 or email womens.monsu.org.au  Bookings close on 28 July.

Both men and women are welcome to attend however the material being presented is aimed at women. 

Parent Information Exchange

 The Parent Information Exchange for Monash mothers and fathers will feature Scott Hall from Learning Curve Consulting to present the topic:

 "The Importance Of Being a Dad: Celebrating Equality and Difference"
 
Scott will present a dynamic session relevant to Dad's, Mum's,
 Families, professionals and researchers. Creating real opportunities for Fathers to define their changing roles, get involved in their kids lives and build on their strength's, confidence and aspirations.

What are some of the programs around for Dad's? What are the benefits of involved Father's, for Dad's, Kids and Mums lives. Scott will  present some research, resources and stories from his work in Child and Family services, Parent Education (especially the Men and  Relationships programs funded through FaCs). Scott will also draw from  his most important job, being a Dad of two young children! The  session will inform, challenge, stimulate, connect, entertain and address the question: " What do men and dads want and what are the
 issues affecting Fathers, Families and Workplaces?"

White Hot Chocolate Promotion

CAULFIELD CAMPUS VISION

The Caulfield Campus Vision Statement has been prepared in consultation with Deans, Department Heads and support service areas and has been approved by the Vice-Chancellor's Group. It represents the academic and research aspirations specific to the Caulfield campus and identifies the infrastructure
that will be developed during the life of the statement to achieve the vision.

You are invited to provide your comments on the vision statement. If you would like to do so, please email the Campus Manager and your comments will be retained for consideration during the review process later this year and mid next year.

Recycling of Hard Items

Did you know that items such as old computers, monitors, keyboards, printers, dictaphone machines, answering machines, video cassette recorders are recyclable?  Are there any of these items lying around in the back of  office cupboards or indeed at home somewhere?  If you would like to dispose of these items, please contact Rachel Gerber, Environmental Projects Officer on ext 54048 who will provide you further information.
