Monash updating screensaver (Windows only)

  • Keep up-to-date with what's happening at Monash via our updating screensaver
  • Display our current eye catching animations and images when your computer is idle and connected to the internet
  • With this once only install you gain the benefit of an automatically updated look every few weeks without having to do anything extra. Simply set and forget.
  • When the screensaver is installed and playing click it to see informative web pages related to the current graphics

Screensaver installation

  1. Run monash-updating-screensaver.exe (853 kb) to install the screensaver
  2. To adjust the screensaver settings after installation:
    • Right click your desktop and select 'properties' then select the 'screensaver' tab
    • Adjust the 'Wait' time to your liking (Eg. 1 minute for testing or 5 minutes for daily use)
    • Use the 'Power' button to adjust the 'Turn off monitor' time to the amount of time you wish to display the screensaver before the monitor turns off (Eg. 20 minutes)
  3. To uninstall the screensaver open the monash-updating-screensaver.exe file and click the 'Uninstall' button

Tips

  • If you have installed the screensaver correctly but the screen appears empty, check your internet connection is working
  • For the best screensaver viewing experience install Flash Player for Internet Explorer browser. To check if you need Flash Player preview the current screensaver (Flash 1614 kb) using your Internet Explorer browser. If a message about Flash appears at the top of the screen you need to download and install Flash Player using your Internet Explorer browser.
