A revolutionary Australian graphic designer, Richard Henderson has contributed to the evolution of Australia's visual culture over his 30-year career. In 2003, Mr Henderson established R-Co, a brand identity, image and internet solutions consultancy where he is currently CEO and creative director.
Mr Henderson has developed a diverse range of brand image projects for the retail, corporate, environmental and government sectors. His experience includes image identity work for Telstra, the Australian Football League, BHP Billiton, Crown, ANZ Bank, FoodWorks, Mitsubishi, Orica, Tennis Australia, Golf Australia, Tolhurst and the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
In 1976, Mr Henderson co-founded a design firm - Flett, Henderson & Arnold (FHA), which later became FutureBrand FHA. During his time at FHA, he was responsible for several major design projects including the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
In 2003, Mr Henderson was appointed visual identity consultant for the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. Mr Henderson is currently a consultant for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. He is a founder and lifetime member of the Australian Graphic Design Association and a Victorian committee member of the Design Institute of Australia. Mr Henderson is also a visiting design professor at Chinese universities Southern Yangste University Wuxi and the Academy of Design Guangzhou.
Mr Henderson is the recipient of awards including the 2007 Monash University Distinguished Alumni Award and the Apple Master Award in 2000.
