Michael Yeoh is the founder, executive director and CEO of ASLI, a leading privately funded independent business think tank in Malaysia.
In addition, Dr Yeoh holds the following leadership positions and directorships:

- Member of the National Economic Action Council's Consultative Group on Globalization
- Commissioner, Human Rights Commission Malaysia
- Co-executive director of the Malaysian-British and Malaysia-US Business Councils

- Chairman, Asia-Pacific Partners Pty Ltd
- Director, Asia-Pacific Intelligence Sdn Bhd
- Member, National Unity Advisory Panel, Prime Minister’s Department, Malaysia
- Secretary-general, ASEAN Business Forum
- Co-chairman, ASEAN Leadership Forum
Previously, Dr Yeoh held directorships at the National Heart Institute, Star Publications, Formis Computer Berhad and Sunway College. Dr Yeoh was president of the Malaysian Students Union at Monash University and is a former chairman of the Australian & New Zealand Graduates Association of Malaysia.
Dr Yeoh has written three books on leadership and management and co-authored several books on Malaysian politics. Whilst he was on the US State Department's International Visitors Program in 1986, he was conferred a Goodwill Ambassador Award by Bill Clinton, the then Governor of Arkansas. In 1993, he was awarded the Kesatria Mangku Negara (a federal award) by the King of Malaysia and in 1997 was conferred a Datoship (an honour roughly corresponding to a British knighthood) by the Governor of Penang. |
