"Professor Anwar is a leading academic, researcher and political analyst. "During the administration of President Habibie of Indonesia, she served as Assistant to the Vice President for Global Affairs and Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs. "Professor Anwar holds leadership positions with independent think-tank The Habibie Center and The Indonesian Institute of Sciences in Jakarta, Indonesia. She is on the boards of international bodies including the United Nations Secretary General’s Advisory Board on Disarmament Matters. "Monash University honours Professor Dewi Fortuna Anwar for her outstanding career and achievements in the global political arena."
