Mr Alan Lai Guanglin graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Accounting degree.
He also holds a Master degree in Finance from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and is a certified public accountant in Australia.
Mr Lai is the founder, the largest shareholder and the Chairman of Agria Corporation, an international agriculture company listed on The New York Stock Exchange.
Mr Lai is also the Chairman of PGG Wrightson Limited, a subsidiary of Agria Corporation which is a leading agriculture company listed on The New Zealand Stock Exchange. PGG Wrightson Limited is the largest forage seed company and agricultural services platform in the Southern Hemisphere.
In addition, Mr Lai is the largest shareholder and the Chairman of China Pipe Group Limited, a company listed on The Hong Kong Stock Exchange. China Pipe Group Limited is a leading provider to the construction and infrastructure sector offering a wide range of pipe related products and services in Hong Kong and Macau.
Mr Lai has accumulated extensive knowledge in investments, mergers and acquisitions and management leadership expertise.
He has invested in and established many successful businesses in other agriculture, animation, logistics and transportation and pharmaceutical sectors in China, Hong Kong and internationally.
He takes a leading role in strategic planning and business development in his investment portfolio.
