Tan Sri Dato' Dr Abu Bakar Suleiman (MBBS 1968, HonMD 1997)
Following an extensive career as a nephrologist (renal and kidney specialist), Tan Sri Abu Bakar made a substantial contribution to health administration as Director General of the Ministry of Health Malaysia, and in his roles as Master of the Academy of Medicine and President of the Malaysian Medical Association.
Mr Richard Henderson (DipArtDes 1974)
A revolutionary Australian graphic designer, Richard Henderson has contributed to the evolution of Australia's visual culture over his 30 year career. He directed memorable visual identity campaigns including the 2000 Sydney Olympics and Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. He is a founder of the Australia Graphic Design Association.
Dr Renea Taylor (BSc(Hons) 1998, PhD 2003)
A prostate and cancer biology researcher, Dr Taylor has made dynamic contributions in this field by studying how normal tissue is transformed into tumour cells. She is currently a Peter Doherty postdoctoral research fellow in prostate stem cell biology at Monash Immunology and Stem Cell Laboratories and Monash Institute of Medical Research. Dr Taylor also works to raise awareness of prostate cancer through her professional publications and public health seminars.
