Middle managers are most likely to assume their CEO is
competent if they do NOT earn an exorbitant salary,
according to the management research of Monash psychology lecturer,
Simon Moss. Dr Moss presented his counterintuitive findings at the first
alumni breakfast seminar in the Gearing for Success series.

engineering graduate Dr Anthony G. Collins has been appointed
president of Clarkson University (Potsdam USA). Collins began
his career at Clarkson as an assistant professor, and later

students awarded for alumni sponsored project
A group of software engineering students have received
prizes for their work on an industry-based project backed
by IBM Marketing Manager and Monash graduate Jack Verdins
(BSc).
Monash has been
invited to participate in Bio 2003, a major international
biotechnology convention to be held in Washington DC, June
22-25. The delegates are aiming to increase awareness of
Monash research and development and to develop biotechnology
partnerships.
