Challenging management
Middle managers are most likely to assume their CEO is competent if they do NOT earn an exorbitant salary, according to the management research of Monash psychology lecturer, Simon Moss. Dr Moss presented his counterintuitive findings at the first alumni breakfast seminar in the Gearing for Success series.

Engineering graduate appointed President of Clarkson University
Anthony CollinsCivil engineering graduate Dr Anthony G. Collins has been appointed president of Clarkson University (Potsdam USA). Collins began his career at Clarkson as an assistant professor, and later served as department chair and dean. <full story>
     

Fulbright scholarships awarded to Monash graduates
Two Monash graduates have been awarded prestigious Fulbright Scholarships for 2003 to undertake research and further their studies in the US: commerce and law graduate Mr Danny Rosen and geography and environmental science graduate Mr Elya Tagar. <full story>
     

IT students awarded for alumni sponsored project
IT student Adam Koh and alumnus Jack Verdins A group of software engineering students have received prizes for their work on an industry-based project backed by IBM Marketing Manager and Monash graduate Jack Verdins (BSc).

Monash at Bio 2003, Washington DC
Monash has been invited to participate in Bio 2003, a major international biotechnology convention to be held in Washington DC, June 22-25. The delegates are aiming to increase awareness of Monash research and development and to develop biotechnology partnerships. <more info>
