Distinguished alumna recognised
Singapore-based businesswoman Dato' Dr Jannie Tay (BSc, MSc) has been announced as the 2003/4 recipient of the Monash University Distinguished Alumni Award. Dr Tay, who is Managing Director of The Hour Glass Ltd, was recognised for her ‘outstanding achievements in business in Singapore and internationally, for her energetic advocacy for the advancement of women, and for her sustained contributions to community causes’.

Econometrics Scholarship fund
October 21st marked the anniversary of the tragic shooting at Monash University, Clayton in 2002.
A scholarship fund has been established in honour of Steven
Wu and William Chan who lost their lives in the incident.
