Message from the president

Dear alumni,

It is a personal honour and privilege to be elected as the president of the 2007/08 MUAAS committee to lead a dedicated group of Monash University alumni in Singapore.

With activities held almost every month, MUAAS is now more active than ever, even engaging the online community through websites and Facebook.

I am pleased to announce that TeamMONASH for the Singapore Marathon 2007 has exceeded last year's numbers, with 300 signed up, including a bus-load from Malaysia. Other activities to close off 2007 include Ol' English Night on 2 November and a coffee appreciation course on 17 November.

In 2008, Singapore will host the Australian Universities International Alumni Conference (AUIAC 2008) and events associated with Monash University's 50th anniversary. I hope the Singapore alumni community will participate fully and demonstrate the level of hospitality we are known for to the international delegates.

See you all soon and remember, life is to be enjoyed and savoured.

Charles Lee
