
Tracey Fellows (BEc 1987) is Microsoft's area vice-president for Asia Pacific, overseeing sales, services, and marketing for 12 countries in the region. She took on this role in December 2010; prior to this she was the managing director of Microsoft in Australia and New Zealand.
A leader in her field, she has more than 20 years experience in the Australian IT industry.
After graduating from Monash, Tracey was accepted into IBM’s graduate recruitment program. She worked there for 14 years, progressing from systems engineering to become a sales representative and then general manager of the personal computer division.
Ms Fellows was eventually recruited by Dell and appointed general manager of its home and small/medium business division.
In 2003, Ms Fellows joined Microsoft as director of the company’s server business group, later taking on the role of director of business and marketing operations.
Ms Fellows was appointed managing director of Microsoft Australia and New Zealand in January 2007.
Microsoft Australia started in 1983 with only 20 people. Since then, the Australian division has grown to a staff of more than 700 working in capital cities across Australia.
In addition to her Monash degree, Ms Fellows has a Diploma of Banking Management from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management.
