1960s-1980s

Professor Nicholas Tonti-Filippini (BA(Hons)1981, MA 1988)
Professor Tonti-Filippini is the Associate Dean (Teaching, Learning and Research) and Head of Bioethics at John Paul II Institute for Marriage and Family and also a consultant in bioethics. He has recently published volume four of his About Bioethics series. Volume Three: Transplantation, Biobanks and the Human Body was launched in October 2012 by the Vice-Chancellor Professor Ed Byrne.

Con Pagonis (BA Hons 1977)
Con has worked as Multicultural Policy Adviser for the Municipal Association of Victoria since 2008 following a 30 year career with the Australian Government; mainly developing multicultural policy and managing migrant settlement programs.

1990s

Associate Professor Chailerd Pichitpornchai (PhD Med 1994)
Chailerd has been appointed the President of Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University. Prior to this he was a lecturer at the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, at Mahidol University.

Usha Rao (MA 1992)
Usha is the director of Student Services and Admissions at La Trobe University. She recently received the John Gallagher Professional Bursary from the English Australia Council in recognition of her contribution to English language education.

2000s

Dr Patrick McManamny (BSc(Hons) 2003, PhD 2003)
Patrick has been promoted to partner at FB Rice, an independent intellectual property firm based in Melbourne.

Ashley Capes (BA 2009, BEd 2009)
In addition to teaching Media and English, Ashley is a poet and author. He published his first collection of poetry Pollen and the Storm in 2008, and his second collection Stepping Over Seasons in 2009. A haiku chapbook Orion Tips the Saucepan was published by Picaro Press in 2010 followed by Between Giants. He has recently released his fourth poetry collection and received first class honours in Writing.

Suet-Ee Wee (Raine) (BA 2011, BCom 2011, BCom(Hons) 2012)
Raine recently received a Chief Operating Officer Award from Telstra for her role in developing a new app that provides university graduates starting at Telstra with easy, mobile access to induction information.
