1960s-1980s

Ranjit Singh (BEc(Hons) 1987, MEc 1991)
Datuk Ranjit Ajit Singh has been appointed Executive Chairman of the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC). He was previously Managing Director of the SC and has more than 20 years experience in the field of finance and securities regulation.

Russell Tait (BSc(Hons) 1977)
Russell was recently appointed Chief Environmental Scientist for ExxonMobil, the largest publicly held integrated oil and gas company in the world. He has been based in the US since 1996. His new role covers environmental, socioeconomic and regulatory management for ExxonMobil's global upstream operations in more than 30 countries.

Ken Fehily (BEc 1980)
Ken has been appointed Deputy Chairperson of the newly-created Urban Renewal Authority Victoria. Ken is a director of Fehily Advisory and a taxation specialist. He is a former partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers and Arthur Anderson. He has also advised a number of Victorian state departments and agencies including the Department of Treasury and Finance, Major Projects Victoria and the Office of Housing.

1990s

Associate Professor Chailerd Pichitpornchai (PhD Med 1994)
Chailerd has been appointed the President of Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University. Prior to this he was a lecturer at the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, at Mahidol University.

Usha Rao (MA 1992)
Usha is the director of Student Services and Admissions at La Trobe University. She recently received the John Gallagher Professional Bursary from the English Australia Council in recognition of her contribution to English language education.

Stan Krpan (BEc 1991, LLB 1992, LLM(CrimJust&Litig) 2006)
Stan has recently been appointed CEO of Sustainability Victoria, a statutory authority responsible for delivering government waste, resource efficiency and sustainability programs. He previously held the position of General Manager Governance at the organisation, overseeing finance, legal, risk and management of Victoria’s Sustainability Fund.

2000s

Simon O'Connor (BA 2000, BCom 2000, GradDipEnvSc 2003)
Simon has been announced the new Chief Executive of the Responsible Investment Association Australasia, the peak industry body for institutions and professionals working in responsible investment in Australasia.

Dr Sean Murphy (PhD Med 2012)
Sean is one of 10 scientists in the US to receive a Senior Research Training Fellowship Award from the American Lung Association. Dr Murphy is a post-doctoral fellow at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center’s Institute for Regenerative Medicine.

Dr Ray Boyapati (MBBS(Hons) 2006)

Ray received a Scholarship for Excellence to study medicine at Monash University. He is now working as gastroenterology registrar. He is the youngest doctor to be accepted into the training program and has won medals for receiving the top score in the state in specialist training theory and clinical exams.
