Opportunity knocks for business

Monash University students are available to help businesses while the students also gain valuable industry experience. We are seeking expressions of interest for placements in Semester 1, 2010.

As part of the Faculty of Business and Economics’ Work Placement Program, third year students - based at the Berwick or Peninsula campuses - are available to assist businesses with specific projects or tasks.

Students are required to complete a 40-day work placement commencing in March 2010. Under the Program, students could work continuously or intermittently, subject to agreement between the business, Faculty and student.

Work Placement students are undertaking or have the following majors which may be beneficial to your business:

• Accounting
• Marketing
• Economics
• Tourism
• Management
• International Business
• Human Resources
• Marketing and Communications
• Sports Management

Businesses are under no obligation to renumerate the students and students are covered by the University’s insurance.

Your business can be in the Mornington Peninsula, Frankston or Berwick area or in metropolitan Melbourne. Students are able to travel.
