Alumni contribute to staff learningOctober 2007
Monash University’s prominent alumni have played an important role at the University’s Senior Leadership Forums in 2007. Diana Bryant (LLM 1999), Chief Justice of the Family Court of Australia, addressed staff at a recent forum. Earlier in 2007, Trevor O'Hoy (BEc 1976), CEO of Foster's Group Limited, presented. The lunchtime forums are held four to five times a year to provide inspiration and learning opportunities to senior staff at Monash University. They also aim to encourage staff to develop critical management and leadership competencies. Staff attending the forums include deputy vice-chancellors, deans, heads of school, directors and managers. The forums are an example of how alumni provide lifelong learning opportunities for members of the Monash community. Earlier in 2007, Victorian Health Services Commissioner Beth Wilson (BA 1975, LLB 1977) and demographer Bernard Salt (MA 1985) spoke at a major Human Resources conference for Monash staff.
