Alumni awarded Queen's Birthday Honours
Monash University congratulates its 30 alumni who received Queen’s Birthday Honours in 2007, including Emeritus Professor Peter Darvall AO (pictured).

     
 

Visionary explores the brain and space travel
Renowned neuroscientist Dr Alan Finkel AM spoke about the importance of brain research at Monash University’s recent Gearing for Success alumni seminar.

     
 

Library acquires new database for alumni members
The Monash Library has added Scopus to its list of electronic resources. Scopus includes sciences-related online research literature and quality web sources.

Performing Arts: July shows
Performances to showcase in July will include school holiday entertainment, including The Fairies and Hercules, and theatre comedy, such as Girl's Night Out.

Medical journalist and commentator Dr Norman Swan will explore the changing nature of human survival through history at this event on Thursday 26 July.

     
 

Seminar: Setting pay rates under WorkChoices
This seminar, held on Monday 16 July, will feature guest speaker Professor Ian Harper, Chairman of the Australian Fair Pay Commission.

     
 

Seminar: The future of regenerative medicine
Professor Nadia Rosenthal, director of the new Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute at Monash, will speak at this breakfast seminar on Thursday 23 August.
