New benefits for Monash alumniAugust 2008Monash University alumni are now entitled to a range of new privileges including increased library borrowing rights, access to a new online database and discounts on ePress books. Monash University Library has announced that alumni with borrowing access now have the same borrowing rights as current Monash University undergraduate students. Alumni can now borrow up to 20 items at once (previously, alumni could only borrow eight). For the first time alumni have access to restricted and reserve items, and older materials held in the Library's off-site store. The Library has secured a new online database which can be used by alumni with electronic access. Project Muse provides online access to journals published by the Johns Hopkins University Press and other university presses in the arts, humanities and social sciences disciplines. Monash University ePress is offering a 20 per cent discount off the price of its online publications and paperback books. Previously, alumni were only eligible for a discount on online publications.
