As director of Child Abuse Research Australia (CARA) at Monash University, Chris Goddard (MSocWk 1982, PhD 1992) is committed to preventing and reducing child abuse, neglect and murder in Australia.
Professor Goddard is a leading commentator on child abuse and child protection. His work has contributed to policy and legislative change in key areas such as mandatory reporting and child sexual abuse.
As a key account manager at pharmaceutical company sanofi-aventis, Gillian Swinnerton (BPharm 1975) works with Victorian hospital staff to improve health outcomes.
Solving complex problems is what drives Ms Swinnerton. At sanofi-aventis, she is responsible for ensuring the company’s products are used wisely and effectively in the state’s hospitals.
The Chew family are no strangers to Monash, with all five family members students of the University within the last 30 years. The latest family member to graduate is
Edmund Chew (BBusCom 2007, BE(Mechatronics)(Hons) 2007).
Edmund is now a project controller at Melbourne-based management company Dartnell Grant and Associates.
