Single-unit enrolmentYou can meet the minimum entry requirements of Monash University by completing at least two single units (subjects) on a non-award basis. You can increase your chances of admission to your chosen degree by completing additional units. If you don't have an appropriate academic background for entry to first year, completing single units will allow you to demonstrate your potential for university study. There are two ways to take single units:Apply direct to the faculty that offers the unitsCharges for these units vary between disciplines. Students undertaking single unit enrolments will be charged a tuition fee to be determined by the enrolling faculty. If you are of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent contact the Centre for Australian Indigenous Studies about the single-unit access scheme for the Bachelor of Arts. If you are admitted to this scheme you will not have to pay the tuition fees for the single units. For more information, go to the Centre for Australian Indigenous Studies website. Through Open Universities AustraliaOpen Universities Australia is a consortium of universities (including Monash) that offer units via off-campus learning. Fees for these units are payable directly to Open Universities Australia. For more information, go to the Open Universities Australia website.
