The Monash story

Monash University is its people.

What we have become

Monash was established in 1958 and welcomed its first students in 1961.

What we are today is a product of our proud history. We have stayed true to the ideas and philosophies that made us such a trendsetter and we owe a lot to those who have come before us.

Making a difference takes energy and idealism.

Our youthful outlook is reflected in everything we do, and supports our belief that we can make a difference.

We seek to continually push ourselves, to ensure our next generation is better than we are. We are determined to remain amongst the world's best.

In order for our students and staff to positively impact their communities and the world, we must equip them and inspire them - so they can be agents of change.
