As the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Social Inclusion), Professor Sue Willis is responsible for:
Professor Sue Willis was appointed to the role of PVC (Social Inclusion) in April 2010. Prior to this appointment, she was the Dean of the Faculty of Education at Monash.
Professor Willis began her career in Western Australia as a secondary mathematics teacher before moving into curriculum development and then university teaching and research.
She has engaged extensively in consultancy and policy work and served on a number of Boards and Steering and Consultative Committees at state and national levels. Up until recently, Professor Willis was on the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) board, chairing its Post-Compulsory Curriculum and Assessment Committee.
She currently holds positions as:
Professor Willis is also a past President of the Australian Council of Deans of Education (ACDE).
Professor Willis' research, curriculum and professional development work has focused on mathematics and numeracy, as well as equity and social justice in and through education.
