Professor Rob Willis
Office of the Campus Director, Caulfield and Clayton campuses

Professor Rob Willis is the Campus Director of the Clayton and Caulfield campuses at Monash University and provides cross portfolio support to the Vice Chancellor. In addition to campus planning, Professor Willis is responsible for several education-related projects and initiatives designed to develop and improve the student experience at Monash.

Professor Willis is an honours graduate in Mathematics and holds a MSc. in Operational Research and a PhD in Project Scheduling from the University of Birmingham. Before coming to Monash, he worked in operational research for Reckitt and Colmans Ltd, UK (now Reckitt Benckiser) and the British Coal Industry.

At Monash he has held many roles at both the faculty and University level. Among other academic and senior administrative positions, he was Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology from 1996 to 1997 and Director of the MBA and DBA Programs in the Faculty of Business and Economics between 2001 and 2004.

Professor Willis is Information Systems Advisor to the Australian Cricket Board, and has acted as a special referee and expert witness to the Federal, Supreme and County courts. He has published several books in the area of Computing and Business Modelling, produced over 70 research publications and presentations, and is on the editorial boards of three international research journals.

Within his portfolio as Campus Director, Professor Willis is the Chair of the Student Experience Network and the Transition, Retention & Progression Task Force, has oversight of Monash's Transition Program and is leading the University's Retention Project.

Professor Willis is also Chair of the University Market Review Committee, Chair of the Monash University Academy of Performing Arts, Chair of the Vice-Chancellor's Ancora Imparo Selection Committee, and Director of Open Day at Monash.
